This past February, Disney invited my family and I to the Disney Creators Celebration, an invitation only content creator experience for about 100 bloggers/influencers from all over the country. We were able to spend about 4 days at Walt Disney World and it was the first time my children were able to visit the magic at these parks.
Growing up going to Disneyland I wanted to go on every ride that I couldn’t go on back home. So I compiled a list and when we visited we made it a priority to hit these rides and attractions first since we only had about one day at each park. These rides and attractions are also toddler friendly, so if you are looking for small child friendly experiences, you have come to the right place!! I sorted everything my land and I hope it helps guide you now that the Magic Kingdom is now open again at Walt Disney World after being closed for four long months!
Fantasyland
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
This is probably the most popular ride in the park and the one we hit first as soon as we arrived at the park. At the time when we went, it was midday on a weekday in February, and the standby line was about 4 hours long. Luckily we had Fast Passes and only had to wait about 15 minutes. It was my son’s first roller coaster experience. You have to be 38″ tall to ride the ride, which was perfect since he was exactly 38 inches! It was fast at times, but he thought it was fun. I definitely recommend this ride and believe it is toddler and adult friendly!
The Barnstormer
This smaller roller coaster is a little slower and a little shorter of a ride than the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. You ride around the track in an airplane above Storybook Circus. It’s considered a junior roller coaster and is definitely toddler friendly. You need to be 35″ or taller to ride the ride. We used our Fast Pass for this ride but the standby line was only about 30 minutes or so.
Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station
This fun little water play area is very toddler friendly. It’s super colorful and inspired by the circus train from What Disney’s Dumbo! It’s a great way to cool off on a hot day! *Double check it is still open before you go! And make sure to bring an extra change of clothes!
Cinderella Castle
Since Disneyland has Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, I definitely knew I needed a photo in front of Cinderella’s castle, since they are both so different from each other! There are typically photographers by the castle throughout the day that can take professional photos or photos for you on your own phone! There is a restaurant inside, but we couldn’t get a reservation, it is extremely popular!
Frontierland
Country Bear Jamboree
This show is suitable for all ages and is super nostalgic for me since it used to be at Disneyland when I was a little girl. I was so excited to see the show again and share it with my daughter. It runs about 20 minutes and we went in the evening when it wasn’t as busy. We didn’t have to wait long and was able to pick any seat we wanted! She loved all the fun songs and characters! No Fast Pass needed.
Adventureland
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
This ride is very similar to Dumbo, where you fly in a circle in the air and have the ability to go higher or lower during flight, except on this ride you are flying on a magic carpet! This ride is for children of all ages and any height and it a lot of fun! We used a Fast Pass for this ride and the standby line was closer to 45 minutes or so.
Tomorrowland
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover Presented by Alamo®
This was another nostalgic ride for me since it also used to be at Disneyland when I was a little girl. The ride is about 10 minutes long and you go very slowly around different parts of Tomorrowland. This ride is very toddler friendly and is a great ride to take a break to sit down and relax before walking around the rest of the park!
Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress
We actually didn’t have the opportunity to ride this when we were there, but it will give us something to look forward to next time! According to the Walt Disney World website, you can “travel through the 20th century and marvel at the evolution of technology during this classic Audio-Animatronics show.” This is good for all ages and heights!
Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor – Temporarily Unavailable
We saw this show back in February but unfortunately since it is an indoor show, it is temporarily closed due to the new health and safety regulations caused by Covid-19. This show is toddler and family friendly and one we don’t have on the West Coast, so we definitely wanted to see it, especially since we all love Monster’s Inc! It’s basically a 20 minute comedy show and a great way to cool off and sit down on a busy, hot, or rainy day!
Stitch’s Great Escape! – Temporarily Closed
This attraction is based on the movie Lilo & Stitch, but unfortunately, this ride is also temporarily closed right now due to the new health and safety regulations caused by Covid-19, but keep it on your list for the future! This is the only one on my list that isn’t technically toddler friendly but a ride that you can’t find at Disneyland, so a must do if you are 40″ or taller. I have also heard it is a little fast and scary, but that is opinion only! It takes place in a dark theater and there are some surprises, so before you go, make sure your children are old enough and do not get scared easily! We did not go on this ride when we visited, but when the kids are older, we will give it a try!
