Spring is in the air and my favorite season to spend time outside. This past week I took a much-needed mom self-care day at Countryside Marketplace in Menifee and spent my afternoon eating, shopping, and getting pampered.
With over 50 shops, restaurants, and specialty stores, there is something for everyone at Countryside Marketplace! I was so excited to be hosted for the day and can’t wait to share my experience and I encourage you to take a day for yourself for some self-care, especially since Mother’s Day is coming up!
I started my day with a pedicure at Happy Nails. This nail salon has been opened for almost 12 years and has very friendly management and employees.
I hadn’t had my nails done in over a year since before the pandemic, and it felt so good to be back for some much-needed pampering!
The doors were left wide open the entire time I was there and everyone was wearing a mask. I felt very safe during my visit and they did such a great job on my pedicure, I would definitely go back! I sat right in front of the door and received the Basic Spa Pedicure, which included an exfoliation foot scrub and lotion massage!
Next, I went to Massage Envy for a massage treatment. Again, I am so grateful that they are back open because a massage was exactly the type of relaxation this mama needed.
The staff was all very kind and I felt so relaxed when I left! I used to be a Massage Envy member, which for a discounted rate, includes a monthly 60-minute wellness massage, healthy skin facial session, or total body stretch session! For non-members, massages are $120, excluding tip. I have never met a Massage Envy massage therapist I didn’t like, and even went for prenatal massages when I was pregnant, so I highly recommend booking one for your own mental health!
After the massage, I went for a little spring shopping spree at Target. First, the Menifee location has one of the best Dollar Section areas compared to other Target’s in the area. I picked up sand toys, water balloons, crafts, and so much more for such a low price. I’m a mom, I had to buy my kids something on my day out, right? Then I walked over to the Family Matching section that had so many cute matching dresses and shirts for the whole family!
I picked out some other fun sundresses, shorts, and tanks for the spring. I love the prices and quality of Target and do most of my shopping there, especially these days, where you can order online and pick up from the comfort of your own car, if you don’t’ want or have the time to go inside!
After my shopping spree, I went to Hana Sushi, one of my all- time favorite sushi restaurants in Southern California! I love that they have a location at Countryside Marketplace! Even though the indoor table areas were open and being utilized by other guests, I chose to sit outside on the covered patio since it was such a nice spring day.
I love how their menu clearly states which rolls are gluten-free. I ordered two rolls and they were so fresh and delicious! My favorite was the Honeymoon Roll, which includes Spicy Scallop, Yellowtail, Masago, Albacore, White Fish Tempura, Avocado, Jalapeño, and Green Onion! I also love that they also have curbside pick up!
After lunch, I grabbed a coffee at Starbucks and walked over to the open outdoor patio area to sit down and enjoy a lovely coffee break in some peace and quiet while I caught up on some work before heading home.
This was my second big trip to Countryside Marketplace. To read about our experience going back to school shopping, click here! Next time, I want to take my kids and check out Kohl’s, Red Robin, Baskin-Robbins, and HomeGoods! I had such a wonderful day to myself. Thank you Countryside Marketplace for giving this mom an early Mother’s Day present!
