Are you on the search for a perfect stroller? Maybe you are a pregnant mom in the midst of making your baby registry or a first time parent spending efndless amounts of time online researching which stroller would be best for your child. Or maybe you are like me and have previously owned 5 other strollers and none of them measured up so you set off on a quest to find the perfect one. Well look no further, I have the answer for you. There is a new stroller in town from UPPAbaby called the MINU and here is why you need one!
I first learned about the MINU stroller at a conference back in February (see full demo here) and honestly fell in love but it would be months before the stroller would even be released to the public. Fast forward to the beginning of May when I was invited to the official UPPAbaby MINU launch event in Los Angeles.
I was so excited to be a part of the event and celebrate such an amazing company and incredible invention of a stroller.
Then about a month later, my MINU arrived at my doorstep. I was nothing short of ecstatic. I had been dreaming of all its features and building it up to my husband for months that when it finally arrived we took it for a spin immediately. My husband literally donated every other stroller we owned the next day and kept saying, “You were right! This is the best stroller I’ve ever used!”
When I first became a mom I spent a lot of time doing online research and shopping in stores to try and pick the perfect stroller for my daughter. I was overwhelmed by the hundreds of strollers the baby stores carried, which seemed to cover half the store from floor to ceiling. It was so difficult to decide. Little did I know that buying a stroller is best done by living a personal experience and or word of mouth. Mom trust other moms. And I should have read more blogs and asked my friends more questions. I’ve used many different styles and brands and will say with honesty and sincerity that this stroller has been my favorite. And don’t just ask me, my husband feels even stronger than I do. He is not the type to care much about baby products and has given me full reign to pick out any item I feel would be best for our children, but since we have owned our MINU stroller, he tells random strangers on the street how amazing the stroller is, shows them its features, and convinces them to buy one, too!
And here is why:
The MINU is a lightweight stroller and is effortless to use. The stroller has spring-action, all-wheel suspension, which is a fancy way of saying that it is very easy to push and maneuver so you never feel like you are doing any work pushing a 20 pound baby around town. Trust me, I have been there when a stroller is hard to turn a corner or difficult to push up a hill, but you won’t have that experience with the MINU. It basically glides when you push it and it steers so smoothly.
You can fold up the stroller where it is so compact and light, you can carry it around on your shoulder just like a diaper bag.
The stroller weighs less than 15 pounds and it is so easy to travel with! In addition to the shoulder strap, it also has a carry handle and a storage bag to keep it clean!
The stroller is extremely easy to fold and unfold and I have even done it with one hand while carrying my son in the other. We have taken it on all of our travel adventures to hotels, airplanes, trains, cars, restaurants, beaches, and hikes. It even fits in very small spaces.
It is so easily portable you can even fold and unfold it easily when going up and down stairs, getting in and out of a bus or car, and pretty much everywhere you travel. We recently took it across the country on vacation and it was easier to travel with than our suitcases!
The large brake pedals are marked red and green and are easy to push down depending if you want to stop or go. In the past, I have had to bend down and spend excessive time pushing hard with my hands or foot to try and get a stroller to stop or go again but you will never get frustrated with the way the brakes on the MINU are set up. All it takes is one simple click!
The stroller comes in four colors: blue (Ryan), gray (Jordan), red (Denny), or black (Jake). We personally own the Ryan, which is the rich beautiful color of blue that gets compliments wherever we go. I love the color options and they are each gorgeous in their own way.
Each MINU has real leather handlebars. Their 100% full-grain leather handlebar are hand sewn and have a perforated pattern for extra grip. The blue color is the only one of the four color options that comes with brown leather handlebars. The other colors have black handlebars.
The MINU comes with a sun shade that protects your child from the sun. This sun shade is UPF 50+ for their safety and protection. It also has a peek-a-boo window so you can still see your child if need be.
The MINU has a large pocket in the back of the stroller for you to carry things like your keys, sunglasses, phone, planner, mail, sunscreen, water bottles, wallet, etc. These are all the items I typically put in the pocket when I take the stroller out for daily walks around the neighborhood, to the park, mall, or to places like Disneyland, LEGOLAND, or the zoo!
The MINU has a spacious basket underneath the stroller for larger items like a diaper bag, a baby carrier, or other items we typically put there like shoes, water, books, and toys.
The seat can hold up to 50 pounds and comes with a padded harness that is easy to click on and off your child. I can take my daughter or my son for a stroll and they both can safely and comfortably fit one at a time. This weight limit means that I will have the stroller for many years and it will grow with my son until he is at least 5 years old!
The multi-position recline is super simple and easy to use. My son can comfortably sit or lay down with the ease of a strap.
You can buy the stroller directly from the UPPAbaby website, places like buybuyBABY, Nordstrom, or Bloomingdales or at a local baby boutique! Just search their website for a store near you!
