From my perspective, it is very difficult to receive excellent customer service these days. My biggest pet peeve is when you call a company and you are immediately taken to an automated machine that has a million menu options and it’s almost impossible to actually talk to a real, live, human being. You used to be able to “press zero” or say “representative” but now, even if you try those things, you either get hung up on or are told “I’m sorry, we did not understand your request, please try again” about ten times before I end up getting so frustrated I am the one that hangs up.
So when there is a company that takes their time with you and treats you like their only customer, it not only makes you feel special, but you grow to love and respect the company on a whole other level. Any and every time I have spoken to someone at Freshly Picked I have had a more than stellar experience.
In addition to the outstanding customer service, another reason I love Freshly Picked so much is because of the admiration and respect I have for the founder, Susan Petersen. You may have seen her on NBC’s Shark Tank; she began from humble beginnings and started the company from the ground up in 2009. She started making designs in her kitchen, which have now gone through six design changes, and has since expanded the company into making more than moccasins. She is a mom, a business owner, entrepreneur, and has a pretty special knack for design! I only hope I will have the opportunity to meet her one day. Maybe she’ll even consider being a keynote speaker at one of my upcoming blogging retreats!
In addition to the wonderful people that make up the company, have I told you how much I adore their products? As a mom, when I find a good quality product that stands the test of time, I become loyal to that product and not only exclusively purchase from that company, but brag about them to other moms every opportunity I can. Let’s talk about the look. The soft sole moccs are simply adorable! My daughter purposely picks them out to wear almost everyday and she constantly gets compliments out in public when she wears them. As an infant, her first pair was in the color “Weathered Brown” and we loved them because they matched with everything! She has since grown out of them, but now has two pairs to wear!
