Let’s Talk About: Spoiling Yourself as a Mom

When was the last time you bought something for yourself? If you are like me, you may not even remember. Most of my Target runs are for family or home related items. If I am given a gift card to a store I typically buy something for one of my children. That is just the kind of mom I am. I put them first. And I love it. Not to say other moms are like me, nor do they have to be. That is just what I do. And rarely do I treat myself to a spa day or something similar.

But, when I do buy something for myself, it feels pretty good. You are a mom. You work hard. You sacrifice so much of yourself for your children on a daily basis, how do you refuel your tank at the end of the day or do you tend to leave it empty?

And sure filling your tank up twice a year on your birthday and Mother’s Day is rewarding but what about all of those other days you are running on low or no fuel at all? You need to consistently make yourself a priority and be mindful of giving back to you, too. The truth is, if you aren’t recharged, you won’t be able to give 100% to your children. And they all need you. You are the mom and the cornerstone of your family.

One way you can do this is by getting a monthly subscription to Mom Time Delivered. Subscription boxes are all the rage right now and this subscription box is just for you!! Each box gives you a spa like experience and all of the items in the box are filled with items from small shops, often by moms that run them.

For Mother’s Day, Mom Time Delivered gifted me with a box delivery this month filled with hand picked gifts that will keep on giving all month long or if I can spare a dedicated hour I can use them all at once for the ultimate experience!

And who doesn’t like to get packages in the mail? Granted most of my deliveries are diapers, groceries, or new batteries for a toy, but nonetheless I still love getting packages delivered to my front door. And when the box is in my name and filled with surprises just for me, it makes me a little giddy.

My Mom Time Delivered subscription box this month was filled with the finest locally sourced products with a traditional spa like experience in mind. Items inside the box included a glitter wine glass with the words “Because Kids” on it, a swiss candle, a bag of Art of Caramel gourmet popcorn, a bath melt made of only baking soda and essential oils, and Hilltop Peppermint Scrub. I have to admit that the gourmet popcorn didn’t last long but the rest of the items will be used over the course of the month until my next box is delivered.

Each month, boxes are filled with everything you need to relax and rejuvenate. You can set up your subscription month to month or prepay for 3 or 6 months in advance at a discounted rate. And if you need to, you can even put your subscription on hold for a month!
