As the holiday season is quickly approaching, our schedules are becoming increasingly busy. With dance recitals, playdates, holiday parties, travels, and work commitments, I need to stay as organized as possible. With the hustle and bustle, I also need to take more time to self care. Mommy’s tend to DO-DO-DO, am I right? It takes a mom to know a mom and so Mommy-Do was created! Mommy-Do is a mom owned company that makes 12-week journals tailored specifically for moms. You can choose from either a “First Time Mommy” journal or a “Mommy’s with a Crew” journal!

The founder, Anita Petrov, became a first time mom two years ago. She struggled, like all of us, to balance being a mom and tracking different developmental milestones for her baby, organizing here grocery lists, cleaning schedules, and budget, as well as accomplishing weekly tasks and goals. We juggle so much and multi-task so often that we burn out quickly, especially if we aren’t taking care of ourselves. And like children, adults thrive on structure, too. Don’t you just feel great when you check something off your TO DO list?
“Taking care of yourself is part of taking care of your kids” – Mommy Do
If I don’t write something down or if I just try to depend on my memory, things will get forgotten and I get overwhelmed because of my disorganization. Plus, I love starting off the New Year having goals and this journal is the best way to get through the next 3 months!
Each journal starts off with some tips for success, ideas for how to be more purposeful, and sample pages for inspiration and guidance. What makes you happy? How will you get where you want to be? What is your motivation? These are all questions you can ask yourself as you begin your 12-week journey through this journal.
The journal give you space to start your day with positive vibes where you can jot down any thoughts, quotes or motivations for the day! You can write down your routines, to-do list, and agenda items as well as a plan for exercising, self care, mommy only time, and even track your hydration!
“Taking good care of you means the people in your life will receive the best of you, rather than what’s left of you” – Mommy-Do
The journal also allows you to have space to create your weekly menu and grocery list each week. There is even a page each day where you can write down the lifeskills/developmental activities you would like to accomplish each day with your children as well a place to write down 3 things to do with your children each day outside and or with a friend!
Then once each week is done, there is a weekly reflection page where you can grade yourself on what you accomplished and what you need to improve on for the following week. I love the idea of being accountable and getting into a habit for my daily routine. I also love that on this page each week I can give myself a reward and write down what I’m grateful for so I can end each week on a positive note!
The journal doesn’t stop there! The end of the journal is packed with resources and blank pages for you to track your child’s growth, developmental milestones, questions for your pediatrician, sleep and feeding schedule, potty training progress, cleaning schedules, and organizing your budget! There are also monthly calendars at a glance and developmental milestone charts from 2 months to 5 years!
Every mom needs this journal!

Can my favorite part of this journal be each part?! I love that there is space for my to-do lists! I am a nurse and always on the go and a momma to a two year old boy so my life is absolutely crazy. I have to make list after list to make sure I don’t forget anything! Also it helps me stay focused and productive by seeing my lists written down and being able to cross them off as I achieve each one! I love the blank pages in the back! Especially since my son is starting to potty train and well… it’s harder than I thought! Also it’s extremely important for me to track each milestone! I was told I would never have children, I have one ovary and endometriosis so this might be the only child I get to conceive so I am very sentimental to keeping track of every milestone even the silly ones! Thanks for producing such an awesome journal!!! ❤️
