Before I had children, I used to get excited about flowers and jewelry, and now that I am a mom, I am ecstatic when I get a new diaper bundle in the mail and when I capture a photo with both of my children looking at the camera. And recently, I got especially giddy when my new diaper bag arrived in the mail! As a mom of two young children now, I was very specific of what type of bag I needed. I knew I wanted a large, durable, and stylish diaper bag for all of my essentials. I wanted a bag that didn’t look like the typical diaper bag you’d find at your local baby store. I wanted something with a lot of pockets, a solid color that matches with everything, and with a backpack option so I could be hands free.
I had been following Fawn Design on social media long before I became pregnant with my second child. Their bags have always been so beautiful and I love how there are so many color options for every mom’s style and personality. I love my Fawn Design bag. And it’s more than a diaper bag to me. It’s a bag that will go with us on all of our family adventures for the next couple of years!
Fawn Design was founded in January 2014 in Utah by husband and wife team, Jenny and Cole. They started with humble beginnings and made each and every bag by hand. When their bags became more in demand, they raised money through a Kickstarter campaign, were featured in the New York Times, and eventually started having their bags manufactured. Since then, many of their bags sell out quicker than they can be made (not a bad problem to have when running your own business) and are continuously in the works to provide new products and new colors for their bags. I personally own the brown bag, but they also sell bags in black, blush, and gray as well as other seasonal colors!
Besides having gorgeous and functional bags, I love Fawn Design because they have stellar customer service and care about each and every customer. I believe they make such wonderful bags because they were created my parents, who had their own children in mind when creating a bag that works for moms and dads alike.
The bags open wide on top so parents have easy access to the inside, even if you are trying to open the bag one handed! In addition to the backpack wearing option, you can also wear it as a messenger bag (which my husband prefers). Fawn Design bags are easy to clean with a damp cloth and the inside can also be pulled out for easy cleaning, too! The bags have 9 pockets (4 outside and 5 inside) with gold hardware for a fancier look! I use the front zipper pocket for my chapstick, phone, and car keys for easy access. For what I put inside my diaper bag, see my essentials list below!
