A couple of weeks ago I had the privilege of organizing a local influencer/blogger event called Bloggers, Burgers, and Bubbly hosted by the esteemed 1909 restaurant in Old Town Temecula. Considered the hottest restaurant in the city, we were excited to gather at a private table on the back patio. When we arrived the table was set with the most beautiful settings and centerpieces. As the guests started to arrive we were given a glass of Veuve Du Vernay Rose champagne to sip on as we all met each other, socialized, and networked. Once everyone arrived, we all took our places at the table and were greeted by the head chef, Anthony, as he came out to describe the first appetizer. We first tried the Crab & Shrimp Empanadas, then the Shrimp & Chorizo, and lastly the Pulled Pork & Quail Egg Sliders that came with the most delectable peach habanero slaw! I was so impressed that the chef came out each and every time a new dish was presented to us. He described each dish in detail and the food was not only beautiful to look at but also delicious to eat!
We ate the appetizers family style but were able to order our own dinner entrée from a selection of choices on our customized menus. I ordered the fish tacos and since I am gluten-free I asked for them to be grilled instead of breaded! I loved that the restaurant was willing to accommodate my allergy needs!
At the event, we also were treated to curated gift bags with items from local vendors like:
Weestructed, https://www.weestructed.com This local mom owned company gave all of us the cutest stemless wine glasses that say “Surrender” on them because sometimes you just have to wave the white flag, right?
Tiny Trucker Co, https://tinytruckerco.com This local mom owned and ran company gave everyone stylish and fun trucker hats from their holiday collection! They also have hats for dads, children, toddlers, and babies!
Nomad West, http://www.nomadwest.com This locally owned company gave each of us beautifully handmade necklaces. As a mental health therapist, I love that the owner also gives 10% of all purchases and donates them to NAMI – National Alliance for Mental Illness of California
Temecula Olive Oil Company, https://www.temeculaoliveoil.com One of the shops and tasting rooms is located in Old Town right across the street from 1909! They also have shops in Old Town San Diego, Seal Beach, and Solana Beach. They gave everyone a bottle of their infamous flavored extra virgin olive oils!
Casa Tiene Vista Vineyards, http://www.ctvvineyards.com This local vineyard supplies 1909 with some of their wines and they gifted all of us with a 2 for 1 tasting coupon! I can’t wait to try all of their different wines!!
And all of the gorgeous photos you see on my blog and social media were taken by Sonia Herbert Photography. Especially since it was so dark during the event she did a phenomenal job capturing the beauty of the night and the fun we had. I would highly recommend her for any of your photography needs!! You can find her @soniahebertphotography or by clicking here http://www.soniahebertphotography.com Not only is she a talented photographer, she is also one of the kindest photographers I’ve worked with!
We were treated like gold by the 1909 staff and had the best evening together filled with elegance and fun! The owner of the restaurant even sat with us! We were also given a craft cocktail menu and one of my favorite parts of the night was when we are treated by a tableside Cedar Smoked Old Fashioned and us all being the bloggers that we are all had our phones out at the same time to capture it! We were having such a good time, in fact, we ended up closing the restaurant down!!
If you would like to hold an event at the 1909 restaurant you can contact Kiley@1909temecula.com. The back patio was a perfect private spot for our event and not only does the restaurant host holiday parties, corporate events, birthdays, engagement and bachelorette parties, and bridal and baby showers, but pretty much any event you can imagine. The back patio can seat 65 adults comfortably and can accommodate more for standing room only. And now their back patio bar is open for all events on the back patio!
If you aren’t looking to book an event, stop by for the restaurant’s famous weekend brunch with their tableside Bloody Mary cart, ongoing weekly Tiki Tuesday, lunch, happy hour, or a girls night out or a date night! Follow them @1909temecula on Instagram and Facebook for updated information about special events, chef’s specials, and new menu items! I love that the restaurant is also very family friendly and has the best kids menu! My daughter is obsessed with their mac and cheese! Sometimes we even bring our dog with us and sit on the front patio where he has his own Paws Canine Cuisine menu!
And did you know that because 1909 is such a successful restaurant for locals and tourists alike, the owners are opening up a new brunch restaurant in Temecula on December 18th called Toast?! The menu will feature various breakfast, brunch, and lunch items like Creme Brûlée French Toast, Shrimp & Grits, Biscuits & Gravy, Shrimp Ceviche, Crab Benedict, Poke Bowls, Avocado Toast, and more! They will also be having Kombucha on Tap, Local Beers on Tap, Craft Cocktails, Tableside Coffee, Vegan and Gluten Free options, teas from Old Town Spice and Tea, decaf Babyccino’s for the children and so much more!
