At the end of the summer, my family and I embarked on a road trip across 4 different states and multiple time zones! Our ultimate destination was Zion National Park, but we made a few stops along the way! With holiday travel starting to ramp up, I wanted to share a little more about our experience.
We had always wanted to go glamping, so we were excited to stay at Zion Glamping Adventures, located about an hour away from Zion National Park, in Hildale, Utah. It is a beautiful campground nestled privately off a dirt road, so you really feel like you are off the grid, immersed in nature’s beauty.
I can’t even describe the beauty and tranquility we experienced when we were there. It was so majestic and peaceful. And we saw so many stars at night!
We stayed in a Glamping Suite that came with a King sized bed (with linens), a pull out futon couch, table and chairs, lighting (with electrical outlets), and most importantly, air conditioning. Since we traveled during the summer months, and temperatures were close to 100 degrees, this was an absolute must!!! It was pretty spacious inside for a family of four.
They also have air-conditioned tents that have two double beds, but we picked the suite because it also came with a private bathroom that included a toilet and outdoor shower, right outside the tent. The toilet was not a standard flushable toilet, but for an emergency or middle of the night bathroom break, this came in really handy with kids, especially since the closest bathroom with a flushable toilet was down the hill, and it was pitch black outside! The bathroom in the suite did not have a sink, which a did miss having at our tent site.
Our site also came with a picnic bench and a fire pit!
The campground came with a communal kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, utensils, and tables. Just make sure you clean your items out before checkout otherwise they will throw them away – we learned the hard way and lost a lot of items that went to waste.
The campground itself came with about 5 bathrooms with flushable toilets, sinks, and warm water showers. The campground also provides towels!
Around the campsite, there is a giant s’mores pit where the host makes s’mores every single night (they provide everything)!
There is also cornhole, hammock, tetherball, lots of picnic tables and chairs, and plenty of BBQ’s (even a Traeger grill)!
And each morning, the host of the campground makes fresh pancakes and coffee!
There is also a break taking hike very close to the campground – it is definitely very family friendly, too!
There isn’t much around the campground – even nearby – but there is a new, modern (and big) grocery store that has everything you need during your stay (even a coffee shop). I bought a lavender latte and it was delicious!
We sincerely appreciated the hospitality and the welcome gift. Thank you Zion Glamping Adventures for hosting us! If you are looking to travel to the Zion area, please consider Zion Glamping Adventures!
