Are you looking for a magical way to have fun with your family this summer? We are celebrating Christmas in July with the Disney Parks Blog and we would love for you to join us!
The kids and I had so much fun wearing our Shop Disney pajamas and Holiday ears all day and really getting into the magical spirit of Christmas in July with Disney magic!
It reminded us of our favorite time of year at the happiest place on earth!
Here are some ways we celebrated at home!
Breakfast
We have a Mickey waffle maker and absolutely love it! For this special occasion, we added red and green food coloring to the waffle mix to make tie dye Christmas inspired waffles! Then we decorated them with mini marshmallows, red and green sprinkles, and some fruit and milk on the side!
Snacks
We pulled out all of our Christmas Disney Parks popcorn buckets and filled them with popcorn while we watched some Disney Christmas movies on Disney+ and DisneyNOW. The kids loved feeling like they had a little bit of the park with them while they watched their favorite characters on the big screen celebrating their favorite time of year!
Then we made Mickey shaped Christmas cookies and decorated them with all of our favorite toppings!
And for lunch we made Mickey sandwiches with a side of cheese, pickles, and applesauce!
After we were done, we made Disney Park’s White Hot Chocolate from Disney California Adventure Festival of Holidays.
All you need is:
1 cup milk
1 drop vanilla extract
1/4 cup white chocolate chips
Stir together milk, vanilla, and white chocolate chips in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally. Serve hot, topped with cinnamon marshmallows!*

The Disney Parks Blog also has a NEW recipe for Gingerbread Bundt Cakes!
And lastly you can get the recipe for Gingerbread Cookies from the bakery at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa!
The Big Screen
We took advantage of all the Christmas movies on Disney+ and watched:
Mickey’s Christmas Carol
Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas
Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmas
There are also other movies like:
Frozen
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Muppets Christmas Carol
We also watched some Disney Parks Holiday parades as well as went on a few holiday themed rides like “It’s a Small World Holiday,” “Haunted Mansion Holiday” and “Jingle Cruise!” The kids loved seeing Santa on the big screen!
Crafts
We made Disney themed snowglobes! We bought the DIY snow globe set from Amazon and then decorated the inside with some of our favorite Disney characters! My daughter decorated hers with Vanellope, Minnie, and Santa. My son decorated his with Olaf and a snowman. And I decorated mine with Moana and a reindeer, since I’ve been dreaming of being at Aulani: A Disney Resort and Spa in Hawaii, which I hope to travel to one day with my family!
The Disney Parks Blog also has a tutorial on how to create a Flurry of Mickey Snowflakes and how to make your own Mickey Snow Mouse!
Games
What better game is there than a snowball toss in the backyard? We set up all of our play snowballs and all took turns trying to throw the snowballs into the bucket! When it was over, it was inevitable that we would have an epic outdoor snowball fight!
Books
Before bed we read Disney’s Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Clubhouse Christmas and a few favorite stories from 5 Minute Christmas Stories. We had a magical day all thanks to Disney Parks Blog and the magic we find everyday with a little pixie dust whether we are at home or at the parks!
And here are some of my favorite magic moments from Disneyland during the holidays!
Make sure you are following Disney Parks Blog on social media so you can get Disney magic all year long!
