It’s National Superhero Day and we are celebrating with Catboy, Owlette, and Gekko from PJ Masks! Today our superpower is having fun and we are spending the day listening to music, dancing, and making sweet treats inspired by our favorite nighttime heroes!
I love a good themed party and so the first thing we did was decorate our kids table with various PJ Masks party decor and trinkets for our special day. The kids had fun putting it all together and it really got all of them into the spirit of the day! Next, we each picked a character from the show that we wanted to be and dressed in that color to transform into our favorite PJ Masks hero! My daughter wanted to be Owlette and my son wanted to be Gekko so that made me Catboy!
Next, we printed out the PJ Masks Dance Party, Make Your Move, and Power Game activity sheets and put on some PJ Masks tunes and started our dance party!
The kids loved doing all of the different dance moves on the activity sheets, especially dancing the robot and with ribbons! You can download the new PJ Masks music to listen and dance along to by clicking on this link!
After our dance and music party, we made some fresh, organic fruit popsicles! To keep with our theme, the popsicle colors were red, blue, and green. For the blue popsicle, we mixed blueberries, yogurt, water, and a drop of blue food coloring (otherwise it came out more purple).
For the red popsicle, we mixed strawberries and bananas. And for the green popsicle, we mixed kiwi, avocado, spinach, and pineapple! They were all delicious and refreshing!
The kids and I also took turns listening to songs throughout the day on our new PJ Masks kid friendly headphones.
