My family and I recently visited The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa and had the most extraordinary time. This desert oasis is pure luxury mixed with family fun and I am literally counting the days until we can go back for another visit. Two nights was certainly not enough time to explore and restore. I could have easily stayed for 3-4 nights, so if you are planning a trip, make sure to book more than a couple of nights to really enjoy and the make the most of your experience!
The Property
The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa is set amidst flowering cactus and framed against the majestic McDowell Mountains. This 27-acre Arizona destination resort is where luxury travel meets family friendly. The entire property is absolutely break taking and has beauty around every corner.
They have the cutest gif shops and even a pet-friendly area for your pets while you shop!
And the property also has a fitness center, golf course, and tennis courts!
There is also a ton of family friendly activities around the resort (like scavenger hunts and s’mores by the fire pit) as well as a rock wall, a mini golf area, and a playground!
The Guest Rooms and Suites
The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa has 492 guestrooms as well as suites and casitas. We stayed in a Fountain Court Suite and it was the perfect size for a family of four, with small children. Not only was there a ton of room, the adults had a separate area than the children, so we could stay up and have a date night in the parlor area listening to live music on the balcony while the kids went to bed in the next room. Our room had a Fountain Court view from our private balcony. The parlor area is 400 sq ft and also comes with Murphy wall bed. And right now the Hyatt is having a special where you can get 15% off upgraded rooms!
The Pools and Waterslide
The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa’s pool playground area is 2.5-acres and comes complete with a sand beach and 30′, 3-story, high speed waterslide, 10 swimming pools, 20 fountains, and 45 waterfalls. They even have a splash pad for the kids and an adult only private pool.
We spent the day in one of their 4 private cabanas and enjoyed food and beverage from H2Oasis. You can also reserve a daybed or premium pool chairs in addition to a cabana through iPoolside, limited quantities available.
Dining
There are many options for food on the Hyatt’s property. We loved this because when we visit a resort to relax, once we arrive, we don’t want to leave. Plus, it is just easier to stay on property when you have small children.
We ate at SWB (Southwest Bistro) during our stay. There are options to eat indoors but the view is so beautiful outside, that is where we wanted to sit. The views of the palm trees and fire pits with a view of the Center Stage Bar where live music was playing.
There is also the Alto Ristorante e bar, an Italian restaurant that serves fresh and flavorful dishes with an emphasis on “the season.” In the Formaggio & Salumi Cellar, Alto’s unique collection of Italy’s best artisanal cheeses and meats are complemented by the extensive selection of wines.
And lastly, but certainly not least, there is Noh that serves Japanese cuisine including sushi, sashimi and traditional Japanese dishes with a contemporary twist.
The Spa Avania
The Spa Avania offers personalized treatment offerings, mineral water therapy, uniquely synchronized music styling, a flavorful menu, and a selection of the world’s finest teas into an artful indoor-outdoor oasis. Complete your Spa Avania experience with unique wellness offerings, including their Himalayan Salt Room and Spa Wave Bed. During our stay, I enjoyed a 30 minute massage and some self-care time in the Mineral Bath, Jacuzzi, and in the most incredible shower I have ever seen or experienced in my entire life!
And the property is so beautiful in the evening!!
We were hosted by the Hyatt Scottsdale Resort & Spa, but all opinions and photos are my own.
