‘Tis the season for holiday travel! My family and I love to travel to new places and we just got back from a visit to The Little America Hotel in Flagstaff, Arizona. We had been planning this trip for months since it’s a popular place to visit during the holidays. In fact, if you don’t plan months ahead, everything may be completely sold out weeks before Thanksgiving! So, if you look online to book your visit after reading this blog and it’s already sold out, please put it on your calendar to start planning for next year!
The Property
The Little America Hotel is Flagstaff’s only AAA approved Four Diamond hotel that sits on 500 acres of Ponderosa Pine, The hotel has 247 luxury guest rooms, a pool, a playground, meeting space, a restaurant, a gift shop, a gym, and much more!
The Room
We stayed in a two queen room that also had a pull out sofa! The room was very spacious and looked brand new, like it had just been renovated! Everything was very clean and comfortable and we had the most beautiful view of the hotel from our balcony!
The Hotel At Night
The hotel is truly magical in the evening. I have never seen anything like it before! They decorate most of the trees on the property in beautifully colored Christmas lights and it’s just majestic!
The North Pole Experience
One of the main reasons we wanted to stay at The Little America hotel was because we had tickets to The North Pole Experience and you catch the trolley to go from just outside the lobby! Our own scout elf surprised us at the hotel and came with us for the adventure!
The trolley goes through a magic portal to get to the one and only North Pole!
The North Pole Experience is a one of a kind event where you and your family get to visit Santa’s 400-year-old Workshop! You’ll also get to have a snack in Ms. Claus’ Bakery, make a toy in the factory, attend Elf University, and the Toy Hall of Fame!
And the best part was the finale, seeing Santa’s sleigh, and meeting Santa!
The North Pole Experience also has a gift shop near the lobby of The Little America Hotel. Insider Tips: If you find all four Scout Elfs you get a sticker and you can pick up a commemorative ornament before you go and have all the elves and Santa sign it when you are on your experience!
Tickets in November during the day (8am-3:40pm) are $43 for adults, $36 for children and in the evening from 3:50pm-9:00pm are $49 for adults and $42 for children. Nearby Family Activities
The Polar Express
The Grand Canyon Railway is just 30 minutes away from The Little America Hotel in a cute little town called Williams and you can experience The Polar Express during November and December! So, naturally, we needed matching pajamas and slippers!
Bearizona
I’ll be sharing more about our trip to Bearizona soon, but it was an amazing experience and is only about 30 minutes from The Little America Hotel! I highly recommend it if you are ever in the area!
The Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon is only about an hour and a half drive away from The Little America Hotel. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the park, but enough time to briefly view the South Rim. The kids loved it and it was nice to see a National Park and one of the wonders of the world while we were in town!
