A Fairytale Family Getaway: A Complete Review of the LEGOLAND California Castle Hotel

Our family recently stayed the night at LEGOLAND California’s Castle Hotel and we had the most majestic time! Be prepared to immerse yourself into the brick life and a magical land of dragons, wizards, and princesses!

The Lobby

The lobby of the Castle Hotel is your first play destination. The lobby has a brick pit for kids to use their imagination and creativity and build to their hearts’ content. There is also a fun slide that my kids love! My favorite part of the hotel lobby is the self check-in kiosks. It was so quick and convenient to check in!

Insider Tip: Check the schedule around the lobby for free character meet n greets and photo opportunities!

There is also a gift shop in the upper area of the lobby (on the same level as the restaurant, pool, and play area!)

The Room

We stayed in a Knights & Dragons Deluxe Room. The hotel also has a Royal Princess and Magic Wizard themed rooms, too. I loved that the parent’s sleeping area is separate than the kid’s sleeping area. The kids area has 1 twin size bunk bed, 1 twin size pull out trundle bed, LEGO building area, and TV.

And one of my favorite parts about staying at the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel is the scavenger hunt you can go on throughout the resort! Once you find all of the clues, you get a code to unlock a safe in your room for a small prize!

I also loved our view from our room of the LEGOLAND resort!

The Pool and Playground

The courtyard of the hotel has a big play area with a playground, building area, and a pool with cabanas! There is also an outdoor movie theater that plays movies and shows throughout the day!
