“Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, dreams are forever” – Walt Disney
Disney really does make everything magical. As a long time Disney lover, having a Classic Afternoon Tea to share with friends at Steakhouse 55 in the Disneyland Hotel was on my Disney bucket list, and my dream finally came true!
We had the private dining room all to ourselves and it was probably one of the best locations for an event I have ever had!
The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had every question answered and every detail perfect before the event, gave us high-end, phenomenal service during the event, and even arranged a surprise character photo shoot with Goofy himself during the event!
And did I mention how amazing all of the teas were? They even gave us a hidden menu tea flavored with apple pie to try! And the tea sandwiches and treats were beautiful and delicious. I was able to even have mine gluten-free!
I need to first thank my #princessincrime, my dear friend Jenny from Princess Turned Mom for co-hosting the event with me.
This is the second Disney event we have planned together and I couldn’t ask for a better person to plan with! You can read about our first event here We not only make the perfect team, we truly care about each other, and both share a passion for everything Disney!
If you haven’t been following her already, you can follow her on Instagram here and Facebook here
I’d also like to send a HUGE THANK YOU to our title sponsor, Indi.com, for believing in us! Indi is a global UGC monetization and engagement platform for everyone. Want to get paid for that outfit you are wearing or that toy your child is playing with? Now you can! Brands and individuals can sign up for all the benefits! While you are there, you can also check out their current challenges where you can win some exciting prizes! And make sure you follow along on Instagram!
I’d also like to thank Cassidy from Oliver Oxford Photography for capturing the day through her magical camera lens and creating memories for us to save for a lifetime. If you are in southern California, I highly recommend her for your photography needs. She is phenomenal in natural light and is wonderful to work with!
I’d next like to thank our guests. Without them, none of this would be possible. Some of the guests we have known in this mom space for quite some time and some we had only just met the day of the event. It’s funny, that some of the guests have been virtual friends for a while and yet we only had just met in person the day of the event. You feel as if you’ve known them and been friends with them forever! No matter how long we had known each other by the end of the event we all left feeling connected and as if we had been friends forever. In fact, some of us stayed well beyond our 3 hour validation because we just couldn’t stop chatting about everything! Thank you to Denise from @dasrozo, Sally from @lovestalgia, Angela from @mommy.diary, Gladys from @themotheroverload, Carly from @lipglossandcrayons, Christina from @christina.patricio, @Liz from @mrsseacannon, Hali from @hali_bear, Meg from @megmariewallace, Daniella from @grateful_girl_mom, Jenielle from @littlegraythread, and Miriam from @miriam.gin (formally known as @simplyxclassic).

Next I’d like to thank our event sponsors. These companies big and small donated items for our curated gift bags and made our guests feel so special.
JuJuBe – JuJuBe is one of my all time favorite companies to work with and they generously provided each of us with a Be Right Back – Dot Dot Dot backpack! This pattern is one of their newest and it is gorgeous! And I can’t gush enough about this bag and how many pockets and compartments there are. It’s every mom’s dream! Stay tuned because we may have a few to give away soon!!
Alex & Ani – My first time working with this incredible company, they provided each of our guests with stunning charm bracelets with a variety of different Disney princesses including Elsa from Frozen, Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Aurora from Sleeping Beauty, and Ariel from The Little Mermaid!
Tubby Todd – This awesome company is no stranger to me. We have worked together for years and I love them so much! And I think I own almost all of their products – I should really own stock in the company! Each guest was given a hand lotion and let me tell you it smelled so good and keeps my hands moisturized for hours!!
Erin Condren – Now this is a company I have been wanting to work with for years and finally had the opportunity! I am a planner, a list maker, an organizer, and it only seemed like a mathc made in heaven to work with Erin Condren! She supplied each guest with a journal, coloring book, wellness log, colored pencils, and more! They are so colorful and I have been using them to keep my life in order! And if you live in Austin, Texas, you are in luck because she just opened her flagship store!
1-800-Flowers – It was such an honor to work with this company that I have used as a consumer for years! Luckily for us, they created the most beautufl bouquets for us to use as centerpieces on the table! I was able to take one home with me after the event and it lasted for at least a week or two and made my home look so beautiful! And its not too late to still order for Valentine’s Day!
Shop Pink Blush – I have worn Pink Blush dresses for all of the So Cal events I have organized and hosted and even wore some for my maternity photo shoot with my son! I can’t tell you how much I love this company for their customer service, high quality, fairly priced dresses, and the fact that they are local. Their dresses fit so well and are so comfortable, and did I mention gorgeous? I love their flower maxi dresses and was finally able to collaborate with them! They graciously sent Jenny and I dresses to wear to this event. You can shop my dress here
So Cal Candle Company – I first fell in love with their candles at my hair salon and loved the fact that they had names of cities of San Diego, and my hometown, as part of their signature line of candle scents. I have bought their candles as gifts for friends in the past and finally asked to work with them for this event and they said yes!! Each guest received a flower or fruit scented candle and they all smelled amazing! If you are from Southern California, and especially San Diego, you have to check them out!
Mouse Vibes – This is the second time Jenny and I have worked with this small mom owned shop for our events. And we love them!! For this event, each guest was given handmade pink mouse ears that are so adorable we even took a group photo in them! If you are a Disney lover like us, you have to shop her store!
Faith, Trust, & Sawdust – Another new company I worked with for the first time and hopefully not the last is another small owned mom shop with the cutest handcrafted wooden signs! Check out all of her work here and you can even take your sign to the parks for character signatures!!!
One Hope Wine – Jenny had told me about this company and I loved the fact that with every bottle of wine bought, they donate to a different charity. I love working with companies that give back and they were no exception. They generously gave each guest a bottle of their wine or champagne.
Hello Sweetie Pies – I had met the shop owner at a local pop up months ago, just before she had her third baby! We couldn’t wait to work together for one of our Disney events because she makes the yummiest pie pops shaped like Mickey Mouse (aka: Mickey Pops)! She gave every guest one pie pop to enjoy at the event and hand delivered them the morning of the event so they would be fresh! If you live in So Cal and frequent Disneyland, make sure you check out her Instagram page to see if she will be selling in the park that day!
Hide, Play, Seek – Formally known as Subsidy Shades, a company that graciously gives back, gave each guest a pair of colorful sunglasses for their children! My daughter was given a pink pair that she absolutely loves! This family owned business started the company to raise money to adopt their second child and fortunately it has grown from there! And For each pair purchased, one pair is donated to an underprivileged child. Isn’t that amazing?
Mom Life Must Haves – This is my first time working with this company and I’m not sure why I haven’t worked with them in the past! They gifted each guest with a stemless wine glass that says “Surviving Motherhood: One Sip at a Time”! You can shop drinkware, apparel, and accessories. There are so many perfect mom gifts for yourself and or a friend!
Savvy Travelers – And last but certainly not least, another new company to work with graciously gave every guest a bag filled with on-the-go essentials like face wipes, hand wipes, makeup remover wipes, and more! Pretty much any type of wipe a mom/woman needs can easily fit in her diaper bag, purse, or handbag for quick touch ups and when you are go, go, go just like me!
Any ideas for our next event?
