Keisha Boutilier is an amazing mom and blogger. Did you also know she is an Esthetician, too? There are people you meet that you instantaneously know are good, genuine people. People not only with a kind heart but also who tell life like it is. One of these people is Keisha. Since the moment I met her through social media she has been nothing but kind, patient, understanding, and supportive. You can’t ask for anything more from a virtual friend, fellow blogger, and mom. Oh and did I mention on top of all of her everyday responsibilities she is also planning her wedding?
In her blog, you can read all about littles, life, DIY/Décor, and more! You can go right to her blog here https://keishalynne.wordpress.com. Name of blog: Loving Littles Blog
How did you come up with your blog name? My children, I call them my littles on the daily and of course I can’t stop but love them!
What year did you start? July 2015
What is your current state/country you reside? Vancouver, British Columbia Canada
What is something your followers don’t know about you? I’m a secret mom zombie. Pictures may seem like I have my life together but I’m just like every other mom trying to get through each day as a working mom, wife, and blogger!
What do you like to do in your free time/hobbies? Usually, I find time to blog and it has become my favorite hobby but I also love to treat myself to a spa day or coffee date with my friends.
How many weekly/monthly blog readers do you have? It ranges depending on how busy I am during the week and how much I post. I keep it between 3000-5000.
Tell me a little about your family…who is part of your family? My family!! Love them, I have two littles Owen (7) & Ella (1). My fiancé Drew and I have been together for 13 years and have just started to plan this wedding. We did things a little backwards. (haha)
What is most rewarding about parenting? Oh the many kisses, hugs and sweet little words like ‘I love you mommy’! So worth it at the end of the day.
What is the most challenging about parenting? A Lot. I find with the age gap of my littles and them entering new stages in life it brings out new challenges. Right now my son thinks he’s the man of the house, so sometimes we need to bring him down a little and our daughter screams at anyone who doesn’t pay attention to her! Everyday there’s something new to challenge me and I’m fine with that!
What advice do you have for new parents? Be patient and don’t feel like you have to fall into the ‘norm’ of parenting. Everyone has their own way of doing things, what may work for one may not work for the other! Always be kind and gentle to your fellow mom friends because we all have our days!
What advice do you have for new bloggers? Don’t be scared to put yourself out there. Always be willing to help out and support others. Also don’t get discouraged if you’re having a bad day. Step back and regroup!
What is the most difficult part of blogging? Well, I work full time so I think it’s all about finding a balance between the two. It’s tough finding time, some days it just works and some just don’t and I wait until it does. It all works out in the end.
What do you love most about blogging? Meeting people, I love interacting and socializing. This has opened so many doors for me and I couldn’t be more grateful for it!
What is your blog primarily about? It started being about just my children, then slowly became more about mom. I’m not the only one who loves reading articles about children but I also love seeing weekly fashion posts. Hearing life stories to relate to and everything else in between.
Why did you start blogging? I started as a way to be creative. When I was on maternity leave with my two littles I found it much more difficult to leave my home. I was also new to breastfeeding and found it to be a challenge and honestly you can only watch so much television and clean the house so much until it gets boring. I went to bed every night with the ‘list’ in my head and decided to write it all down.
Has the blogging world changed since you first began? It’s much more than just mom stories; it’s about branding and building a name for yourself, which I love. I think of my blog almost like a business now, it’s been so much fun.
What gives you your inspiration for content and photos? My kids and other inspirational mothers I follow!
